nice and *fun* historical adventure game
The Good
Timescape is in a 1st person "slideshow" format, with 360 degrees mouse panning. The interface is very simple point and click, and the puzzles are usually typical adventure game fare, and normally pretty easy. There are a couple of timed puzzles, but with common sense they shouldn't be hard.
The best thing about Timescape is how it melds a fun story and solid gameplay with so much learning. There's a really extensive encylopedeia in the game that's worth the asking price alone :) But it doesn't make you learn anything -- if you don't want to, you can just play the game.
The Bad
The story's a little predictable, and there's absolutely no attempt at lip-synch at all. Acting isn't great, and the (Italian) characters have cockney accents (!)
The Bottom Line
An above average adventure game, nothing brilliant, but lots of fun.
