Armagetron Advanced

Moby ID: 31364

Description

Armagetron Advanced is the sequel to Armagetron, and like it's predecessor is a 3D version of the "light cycles" sequence of TRON. Armagetron Advanced is played on a 3D view that can be rotated and by default is displayed from behind the player. The player's only controls are the ability to turn left, turn right and decelerate. As the player travels around the arena, the area behind them is filled with a solid "trail" which is indestructible. The goal of each game is to outmaneuver the opponents, causing them to crash into a trail or the area wall. Each opponent eliminated gives points to the player, while each death loses points.

While the core game follows above, Players can customize many variables of Armagetron Advanced including the size of the arena, number of opponents, opponent AI and length of the "trail" of each light cycle. Victory conditions can also be changed, allowing for an end goal of the first player to reach the "win zone" rather than destroy opponents. The game can be played online or offline with several players and individually or in team games.
