How Many...
Description
How Many... is a short AGS game developed for the fifth One Room, One Week competition that was run between 21st June and 28th June 2008. The game won the competition. It takes place inside the house of Angus. He passed out on the couch the evening of his twentieth wedding anniversary and thus missed his wife Janice coming home. The next morning he promises to make her breakfast, but while he is at it the ceiling lamp dies.
The aim of the game is to fix the lamp. There are two rooms available: the kitchen and a shed. Although it seems an ordinary task, Angus will need to do a number of tasks and avoid sustaining too many injuries in the process. A classic point-and-click interface is used with a single cursor for all actions. Items are stored in an inventory at the bottom of the screen. The game keeps tracks of the playing time, the number of mouse clicks, the amount of injuries sustained and the amount of blood lost.
