Description official description

Power Chess 98 is an updated version of Power Chess. It uses the WChess engine to allow you to play chess against your computer. The AI is highly customizable to offer a challenge for all players no matter which skill they posses. You can also play against human opponents over the internet.

The game is played fully with the mouse in a typical Windows environment. New features in this version of the game are the ability to print out the current game state, square highlighting for possible moves, game analysis, tips of the day and new options for resignation and draw situations.

You can create your own customized opponents to play against with different personality traits such as opening repertoires and endgame preferences. Twenty three pre-made personalities are already included with the game. Also included are a large selection of classic games from pros.

You can view the game both in 2D top down with iconic display of the pieces and in 3D from the player's perspective.
