Napoleon 1813
Description
Napoleon 1813 is a war simulation about France's campaign from 1813/1814 under Napoleon I. The player either takes the role of France to conquer Europe or one of the allied Prussia, Austria, Russia or Sweden. As usual with such games the most time is spent on overhead maps and statistics screens. There the player gives his orders.
The game simulates a lot of war factors which are important in a real battle too, e.g. exhaustion, morale or supply lines. Despite this the game is played in real time but optional there also is a round based mode available. The troop movements are shown in big arrows on the map, combat results are calculated by the computer.
In 2001 it was released as Open Source.
