Then the player can determine how many rounds they would like to play -- simulating the purchase of a single ticket, 104 tickets (twice a week for a year) or 1040 (twice a week for 10 years). The simulator then tallies ticket expenses and the occasional small payoff, letting the player know how much money they would have lost overall had they played the lottery at the selected frequency.
