The player starts out outside a building. The building is a maze that consists of a number of rooms. Each room is connected to other rooms through a number of doors. The goal of the game is to navigate to the building's center room (number 45) and then back to the starting room (number 1) in the smallest possible path (16 steps). The rooms all have different clues and the puzzle solving involve examining the graphics and from that determine what door to pick. Clues can refer to a specific door in a room or it might be related to other clues and together indicate a path. The game features a narrator that guides the player through the maze while telling its story. Once the player has made it through the maze in the shortest path, he can try to solve a final riddle in room 45. The answer to it can be found along the shortest path.
