🤔 What game had the working title "Quiver"? (answer)

Spiderbot

aka: Arac, Arac and the Arachnidroid
Moby ID: 579

A single spider droid remains in an electronic jungle teeming with robotic insects.

A nearby citadel is minutes away from blasting a radioactive repellant into the jungle. And the native insects are getting restless...

The spider droid must transform into a hyper-mobile Spiderbot, scutter into the citadel and raid the destructive power source -- "webbing" and caging insect traitors along the way. Only then will the jungle be safe from extermination.

And it was just going to be another day catching robotic flies...

  • Yesterday the robotic ray was your friend; today you don't know who your friends are...

  • Fire your web to catch killer bugs. Then brainwash your hostages into changing sides.

  • Once caught, the Big Borer can be put to use gnawing passageways to the citadel.

  • Location your exoskeleton and become Spiderbot. Then climb upwards, shooting radioactive webs. But don't hang out on the ceiling too long...

ARACAND THEARACHNIDROID

AN ARCADE AVENTURE

An arcade adventure with 100 screens. You must guide Arac to find the components of his arachnidroid and use his net to capture an army of helpers. Once his force is gathered the task is to de-activate the three reactors deep in the fortified citadel. You can deploy strategic use of the animals or fight your way through in time honoured arcade 'zapping' style. The choice is yours — perhaps a bit of both — but whichever you choose you must do it within 30 minutes (or 20 minutes if you choose the short game option which assumes the arachnidroid is already assembled).### ACTION

Gather the parts of the arachnidroid and capture your army of helpers, then make your way through the labyrinth, past the automatic sentries guarding the power house and into the very heart of the building where you must stop the reactors over-heating by shooting out the cores before they burn through.### SCORE

Your rating is given as a percentage of how much of the mission is accomplished.
