Beating even such legends like Heroes of Might & Magic or Disciples!

The Good
Plenty of.. Almost everything. Plenty of choices you're making during the game. Not only it's more than you can see in many "pure" cRPG games, but it's also affecting on many things - possible alliances, next random evidences etc. Not to mention, that even the tone of your response has some affection on the game's world! There is also plenty of units (you can't have them all, so you must develop your own tactic). And what is one of the strongest points of Eador - every province is a box full of surprises and there is always lot to do. The same wandering and exploring the provinces could be the separate game, and yet you've got here relations & war with other "Masters" and local rulers, just like in classic turn-based strategies. It's also really surprising, that rather modest graphic of Eador: Genesis is both functional and (quite) aesthetic.

The Bad
While graphic didn't bother me, I miss some animations (even the small amount would be better than (almost) complete lack of it). It's rather not the title for the beginners, since even on the lowest difficulty level it can be really challenging (the more experienced players can play in it without hesitation, however in my opinion game should be accessible both for rookies and for veterans). The lack of save game in every moment is really disturbing, this game should be the pole to experiment, and without "classic" saving, your possibilities to experiment are limited. Not completely, but still.

The Bottom Line
Really deep, intriguing and interesting mix of cRPG and turn-based strategy, set in fantasy world. It takes some elements from totally different strategies, such like Master of Magic or Heroes of Might & Magic and adding a lot of its own contribution. In effect, it's really unique title (even with all these Age of Wonders, Heroes of Might & Magic or Disciples series!), which developed its own, original style. It's the absolute "must have" for everyone, who like turn-based strategies (or at least no dislikes them). And if you're one of these people, modest graphic and lack of animations (or rather symbolic amount of animations) are not bothering you, it's definitely game for you. However, if modest graphic or lack of "normal" save game are discouraging you, try the renewed version of Eador, "Masters of the Broken World". Either way, try this or MotbW, because experience with Eador is unique and wonderful!
