Description

Nim is a classic strategy game from Japan. It is a single-player puzzle game in which the player competes with the computer to take the last tile / counter from the board. It is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.

In the default version of the game the player is presented with groups of tiles. The first group has two tiles, the second three and so on. The object of the game is to be the player who removes the last tile from the screen. Each player may remove any number of tiles from a group or even an entire group.

The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized. The game has sound, different backgrounds and types of playing piece, and in-game help screens. Additionally the player can vary the number of pieces in each group and the game's objective, i.e. the player who takes the last piece becomes the loser.
