Pressure Pop!

Pressure Pop! is a single player tile matching game.

The object of the game is to select groups of tiles that are the same colour, once selected these tiles disappear and the player scores points. There are four types of game which vary only in the size of the playing area. There's the 'Classic' in which the tiles are in rows of twelve, the 'Square' In which the tiles are in rows of twelve, the 'Fat' which has rows of twenty-four, and the 'Rectangle' where the tiles are in rows of thirty.

Each of the above formats can be played in three ways:* Up: Here new tiles are added from the bottom of the screen, the game ends when a row connects with the top of the screen, and end of level bonuses are calculated by the number of clear rows counting downwards from the top of the screen.

• Up & Down: New tiles are added from both the top and the bottom of the screen, the game ends when the tiles connect in the middle of the screen, and end of level bonuses are calculated by the number of clear rows between the two sets of tiles.
• Click & Move: Every time the player clicks to remove a group of tiles a new row of tiles is added from the bottom of the screen, the game ends when a row connects with the top of the screen and end of level bonuses are calculated by the number of clear rows counting downwards from the top of the screen.

Gameplay features include bombs that eliminate either surrounding tiles or all tiles of the same colour and an 'auto-click' feature whereby the player holds down the mouse button and waves it over the tiles leaving the computer to do the arduous task of clicking on the tiles.

The game is played entirely with the mouse, it has sound effects, five skill levels, background music, and a choice of three tile shapes.
