Daisy Goes Solo
Description
Daisy Goes Solo is a series of two adventure-platform games inspired by the original Dizzy series. This time it features Dizzy's girlfriend Daisy and not Dizzy himself as the main character. These were the first games by the prolific author of Dizzy AGE fan games, Steve Rennie a.k.a. Grandad.
In the first game Daisy wins a parachute jump, but strong wind blows her off course and she has to find a way to return home all by herself. In the second game the plane she had wanted to use to to get back to Yolkfolk Island has an emergency landing somewhere in Africa and Daisy has to continue finding a way back on her own.
The game was made with Dizzy AGE (Dizzy Adventure Game Engine), a program for making Dizzy fan games created by Alexandru and Cristina Simion. The game's fairly simple graphics are mostly not reused from original Dizzy games, but made by the author himself. The Daisy sprite itself has been made by another author of Dizzy AGE games, Colin Page (Daisy as a non-player character in original games looks different). Like all Dizzy AGE games, the game is available as free download from the Dizzy AGE website and the Dizzy portal Yolkfolk.com.
