Battlefield 4: China Rising
Description
Battlefield 4: China Rising is the first DLC expansion pack for Battlefield 4. The new maps in this DLC are a 50/50 split of jungle combat and open range vehicle combat. Dragon Pass and Guilin Peaks focus on heavy jungle foliage and/or limited visibility squad battles. Altai Range and Silk Road allow for large scale vehicle engagement with Altai Range across mountainous terrain and Silk Road dessert terrain landscapes. The Battlefield 3: End Game Dirt Bike returns along with a new Bomber.
The Bomber is available on all maps at the highly contested center map flag point which must be controlled by a team to use it. The controlling team player enters a white command support trailer to access the Bomber triggering air raid sirens alerting all on the ground. The Bomber flight path is a fixed straight line single pass over the battlefield. The lack of Bomber flight control allows the player to focus on high explosive bomb ordinance delivery on key targets below. After the single pass the player exits the trailer and the Bomber recharges to be used again.
New gadgets for Support and Recon class provide Unmanned Aerial Vehicles unlocked by assignments or achievements. The Support class gets the Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) after completing an assignment unlock. Another assignment unlocks explosives for the UCAV. The Support class launches the UCAV like a traditional mortar and then takes control of the monochrome TV seeker for direction to target. The UCAV has limited range and flight time of around 10 seconds. The Recon class gets the Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SUAV) after achieving a successful Bomber strike destroying vehicle/enemy targets. The SUAV is hand thrown to begin flight which the player takes control of the monochrome TV seeker in the nose of the SUAV. The SUAV has a red beam laser designator to mark targets for other teammates guided weaponry. The SUAV has limited flight time of around 60 seconds.
