High-Rise Hive

Moby ID: 66619

Description

High-Rise Hive is a platformer where the player is a bee that tries to steal all the honey from the hive's honey cells and keep for himself. To reach higher places in the hive ladders are used since jumping is not possible (falling is though). Other bees refill the cells but will sting the player if they get the opportunity. The hive is five screens in size with one third consisting of underground labyrinths. The player starts at the top of it and for every level cleared moves deeper down into it. For each new screen the hive gets wider and there are more bees buzzing around until the underground is reached where there are as many as twenty bees on the screen at a time. After completing the final screen the player moves on to an extra tough mega-hive. The positioning of honey cells in the hive is randomized for each playthrough. When stung by a bee the player respawns at the bottom of the screen but keeps the honey collected. It's possible to be stung 30 times before the game is over.
