Kid Pix Deluxe 3D
Description
Kid Pix Deluxe 3D is the successor to the original Kid Pix Deluxe 3 and 4 versions by the former Brøderbund and The Learning Company. The new version of Kid Pix features digital storytelling and users can upload their creations to YouTube. It includes:* 3D Animations with Path Animating - allows the child to use 3D objects and to animate them.

3D Backgrounds - multi-layer backgrounds that the child can add to their projects.

3D Stereoscopic Export - when the child finishes his/her project, he/she can export it into a stereoscopic MP4 file which can be viewed using red/cyan glasses included in the package.

Flip-book - allows the child to make an animation or story frame-by-frame.

Movie Backgrounds - new in this version, Movie Backgrounds can be added to a project using a gallery of stock footage included in the program.

Video Narration - allows the child to use a webcam to record their own narration and place it in a video frame to enhance the child’s story project.
This version of Kid Pix still lacks some of the features used in the earlier Kid Pix Studio Deluxe, e.g. Draw Me, Wacky TV, etc. but has done a major improvement in the user interface as well.

Finally, The best drawing program comes to life with 3D graphics!
The Good
The 3D clipart (which I've never seen in any other Kid Pix version ever!) is really a major improvement. An added flip-book button really helped if I was making an animation in about 60-seconds or so. On MacKiev's website, I've also found a Valentine's day add-on pack for the program, and made it for my uncle last January and on Scratch (by MIT). Stereoscopic 3D is really amazing, especially for any red-cyan 3D glasses you have in your home. I also have made slideshows using the program and I think it was an amazing deal for children of all ages.
The Bad
The Draw Me would definitely be a new feature, but it's old stuff now! What about the Digital Puppets, the Wacky TV, and all the other stuff that was left from the older versions? They are not there anymore! Some versions of Mac OS X have the program crash when you exit the program etc., but still works though.
The Bottom Line
If you are looking for the best drawing program, Kid Pix Deluxe 3D is what I recommend to younger children! In fact, you might also love the 3D graphics Software MacKiev did exclusively for the game. The stereoscopic 3D glasses weren't included when I got it as a download, but if you have any red-cyan 3D glasses you have lying around in the house, you will love the stereoscopic 3D export feature Kid Pix has to offer.
