While the screen resolution for Assassinās Creed II isnāt what it should be, the game is on the whole every bit as immersive, rewarding, and free as the console version. Assassinās Creed II is one of those rare sandbox games that actually has a sandbox that you want to explore and play in. When youāre not assassinating enemies (fun) or further revealing details on the complex conspiracy (also fun), just standing on one of the perches overlooking one of the breathtaking Italian cities is a truly unique and captivating moment in gameplay.

So, after all that has been said, is Assassin's Creed 2 a port worth purchasing? If you like running around on rooftops with blades hanging out of your sleeves, then yes! The mix between combat and platforming is seamless, the graphics look great if your computer can handle them, the sound and music is excellent, and the game is plenty long enough to keep you busy for a while. Even if just as a warmup while waiting for Brotherhood, the $35 for Assassin's Creed 2 is worth it. Just be sure your computer can handle it before you make the purchase.
