Description official description

Out There Somewhere is a puzzle platformer with a sci-fi theme. The player controls Yuri, an astronaut that was shot by the evil Grigori and crashlanded in an alien planet. Now he must try to find a power source to fix his ship and escape. Yuri can run, jump and most importantly, use his Teleport Gun to get through the planet. Each screen in the game presents a different puzzle and can have up to four exists (left, right, top and bottom). At first the puzzles will be straightforward (such as teleporting over a distance impossible to transverse by simply jumping), getting more complex later on.

The Teleport Gun will shoot in only to the direction Yuri is facing and once the teleport shot reaches a wall, it will make Yuri appear there. The Teleport Gun keeps momentum, so Yuri can start jumps before teleporting and complete them after reaching his destination. The teleport shot will go through glass blocks and will be reflected by mirrors. It can also interact with three different light beams: red ones neutralize the teleport shot; blue ones will act as walls, making Yuri teleport to where they're hit (but unlike normal walls, Yuri can move through them); green ones will move the teleport shot up until it reaches a platform.

Intelligent life on the planet will give Yuri hints on where to go and what to do. The world has hostile inhabitants who must be avoided at first but that can be destroyed once Yuri finds a Gauss Gun. Other collectible (and usually hidden) items are health upgrades and Abandoned Cores that can be used to upgrade Yuri's ship, making it more powerful to the final confront with Grigori. The game starts and ends with a space shooter sequence.
