Description official description

A meteorite falls to Earth, stopping our planet's cycle of rotation and causing thermal disaster around the globe. Lack of the Sun's warmth has caused half of our planet to plunge into a deep, dark freeze, while the other half is literally being fried by the Sun's heat and constant light. Only you can "Save the world with Science!"

You explore the three-dimensional scenery in first person perspective in a manner similar to Myst. There are houses and buildings to investigate, items to find and use while the story unfolds. The game will challenge your common sense and intelligence as you seek out the answers to many puzzles. Work with the sciences of electricity, heat, mechanics, optics and acoustics as you play, researching in documents and the in-game knowledge base.

Good until the end, when it crapped out

The Good
Great teaching concept. Good examples and real-world tests

The Bad
The end game failed. The windmill generator is supposed to have a voltage of 22000 at 4000 windings. In the copy I bought, the maximum voltage at the windmill was 12800. There was no way to get a total voltage of 40KV across the 3 generators. I wasted a couple of days trying to figure it out before I went to the walkthrough and found out how it was supposed to work.

The Bottom Line
How to hate physics in one medium-hard lesson

Simple physics for fans of Myst

The Good
Basically the best thing about this game is an interactive physics database for high school students, with lots of examples, so every kid around 14-18 with an interest in this subject should play it. The building architecture was also kind of weird and interesting.

The Bad
Everything else... It's a Myst clone, no real plot, the riddles aren't really teaching or requiring any physics apart from 4-5. Too small. I finished it in 4-5 hours. The ending riddle was bit boring involving some tiring repetitive simple calculations. The gameplay is a bit slow as is the interaction with the inventory items.

The Bottom Line
It's an education title for high-school students who will learn some basic physics from it while having a relaxed time. Nothing spectacular, or very enjoyable.
