Solitaire King: Spider

Solitaire King: Spider is a freeware, mouse controlled, single player card game, it can be played in a window or in full screen mode. This title was one of a number of freeware games that the developer released to promote interest in the full product Solitaire King which had thirty-one different games and over eighty variations thereof.

The game is played with two standard decks of fifty-two cards of which fifty four are dealt to the table in ten piles, the remaining fifty cards form the draw pile. The object of the game is to form eight descending sequences of cards, king down to ace all of the same suit. This is achieved by moving the cards on the table around to form descending sequences, the player may move single cards or entire sequences if those sequences consist of cards of the same suit

There are two game options, in the first the cards are dealt to the table face down with only the bottom card of each pile showing, in this variation of the game the hidden cards are revealed one at a time as each in turn becomes the top card in the pile following the removal of another. In the second variation all cards are dealt to the table face up thus making it easier to plan ahead, gameplay in both variations is identical.

The game has save/load and an undo function but has no sound and no statistics are kept. It is played entirely with the mouse.
