Jetpack 2

Jetpack 2 is the sequel to the 1993 DOS platform game Jetpack. The gameplay is very similar to Lode Runner and Jumpman; to beat a level, you have to collect all the green gems, avoiding monsters and other death traps along the way. You can use your jetpack to fly around, with a limited amount of fuel, and you also have a phase shifter for trapping enemies, which is reminiscent of Lode Runner. You can also jump around instead of flying, and in a lot of levels, jumping is crucial. You collect treasure to earn extra points and improve your rank in a level, and there are other achievements, such as collecting an idol (and exiting without dying), finding a hidden talisman, and winning without using a stunner, and so forth.

Along with achievements, Jetpack 2 has many other changes and improvements over the original DOS game, including higher resolution graphics, music, more tilesets, more monsters, movable objects, level themes, and a more realistic physics engine. In addition, Jetpack 2 comes with a level editor, which was also an option in the original game. You can create your own custom levels and share them online on the JetpackHQ level repository. The new level editor includes a scripting engine to make your levels more advanced, and there are plenty of other new features.
