Pixel Force: Halo
Description
Pixel Force: Halo is a 2D "demake" based on the first Halo game. It re-imagines the first person shooter classic as if it was released for NES in the shape of a side-scrolling platform shooter similar to Contra. There are also overhead driving stages that function like a scrolling shoot 'em up.
You can aim and shoot freely in eight directions and also have a limited supply of grenades. There are several weapons of both alien and human variety - human weapons like the machine gun and shotgun are found in weapon lockers while alien weapons might be dropped by enemies. Enemies might also drop health packs, alternately some are placed in the levels. Weapons have limited ammo, running out will set you back to a slow-firing pistol.
Stages are divided into sub-stages, and while you have unlimited lives dying will send you back to the beginning of the sub-stage. Each stage ends with a boss battle, usually a stronger version of a regular enemy.
