Absolute Memory
Description
Absolute Memory is a single player, mouse controlled, shareware Concentration variant in which the player has to match pairs of identical pictures in a time limit. When one screen is complete they are presented with another screen which may/may not be in the same category and a shorter time limit. The object is to keep playing until time runs out and to score as highly as possible.
The game takes up the full screen, it has a menu bar across the top of the screen and a game selection bar on the left hand side however both of these can be made top roll away and hide to maximise the game area.
There are fourteen categories of pictures, each with more than one level: Stars - of the movie variety, Shapes, Toyota, Classic, Holidays, Amazing World, Pharaons, Food, Foto, Holiday, Nature, Kaleidoscope, Alphabets, and Toons. There were three update packs available on the developer's website in addition to which the help file contains instructions which allow the player to create their own categories.
The game has sound, a high score screen and a boss key. The shareware version of the game could be downloaded complete but was only active for ten days after which the player had to purchase an unlock key if they wished to continue playing.
