Description
This freeware implementation of Draughts was developed by a couple of programmers in Ireland as their final year project for a Computer Systems BSc. The game is mouse controlled and plays either in a window or full screen.
The game allows one or two human players and has an autoplay function in which the game plays itself. There are three levels of difficulty, options to set up a board to a part game position, save/load functions and ‘blindfold’ options where the black or white pieces are hidden. What is unusual about this game is the Draughts Tutorial which featured three openings, a dozen mid-game plays and four end of game plays, there's also a 'record' function for creating more set plays. Tutorial sequences can be stepped through of the game will play them.
