Hentai Case Opening

Hentai Case Opening is a single player, card collecting, trading/gambling game. It is played with the mouse in either full screen or window mode and there are options for playing with a keyboard or a joystick.
The player starts the game with a modest $25 and nothing in their inventory. They are given a set of cases, each case containing a series of pictures, only one of these cases is free to open all the rest cost money. The player starts the game by mining the free case for as many cards as they can get. When a case is opened the game scrolls horizontally through thumbnails of the pictures in the case and randomly gives the player a card. Each card has a rarity classification and a cash value, the player may choose to keep the card or sell it. Eventually the player builds up enough cash so that they can progress other, more costly, cases though there is no guarantee that the card they receive will be worth the cost of opening the case.
The object of the game is to collect all available cards, all of which are of women in various states of undress and/or disarray.

The Good
I was very pleased that this game was so cheap because I would not have liked to have paid a great deal for it. Don't get me wrong, it works perfectly, the music is good, the artwork is good and I can see from the STEAM reviews that it has its followers - it's just not for me.
The Bad
For me the problem with this game is that I just do not see the point of it. OK so the object is to collect all the pictures, I get that, but when the allocation of cards is random and so many are worth less than the cost of opening the case, there's no way to make a strategy.
In fact, unless I've missed something, the only viable strategy for this game that I can see is to:
- set an auto-clicker to mine the free case overnight,
- empty the inventory for cash the next day,
- then mine another case,
- repeat, repeat, repeat ... until all the cards have been collected.
The Bottom Line
This is a strange game - I've never played anything quite like it. I'm pleased I bought it because it's something different and whenever you try something new there's a chance you will find something that you really enjoy. Not this time.
The game seems well made and the music is good - it reminds me of Hentai Dojo, with which it shares some artwork. According to the current game guide, there are sixty-two cards to collect - however the inventory will hold five hundred and the forums talk of more cards and cases being in the pipeline, so it's probably going to grow. I wish the developer(s) and the game's fans well.
Ultimately though, I don't see any element of skill or any gameplay that will give me pleasure. I'm happy to grind away if I'm making decisions and I'm exercising a degree of control but the accumulation of wealth seems too random here, this is not a game to be beaten it's a game to be endured, and therefore it's not for me.
