Starry Night
Description
Softening the edges of the vertical-scrolling space shooter genre, instead of evoking a Vincent Van Gogh painting Ferry Halim has set before the player the task of bouncing a down-falling yellow star -- gently! -- on a bubble controlled by the player's mouse cursor, with the aim of having it touch descending "burnt-out" stars which are then illuminated through the contact. The bouncing star can also rebound off of the sides of the sky, and will fall from the top of the screen again if it should be allowed to fall off the bottom, after deducting from a health meter. The meter is also decreased if an un-illuminated star is permitted to scroll off the bottom of the screen. Bonus points are collected for lighting up multiple dark stars after a single bounce off of the bubble.
