VeggieTales: Minnesota Cuke and the Coconut Apes

VeggieTales: Minnesota Cuke and the Coconut Apes is a 2D side-scrolling platformer based on VeggieTales, a US series of children's computer animated television shows, videos, and feature films. The player controls Minnesota Cuke (Larry the Cucumber) who as a master explorer has recovered the fable Crock of Hookie Balookie. However, his plane crashes in the jungle and when he recovers it his treasure is gone. In fifteen levels he needs to track the Crock to the legendary city of the Coconut Apes with the help of Bob the Tomato. He collects items, defeats enemies and needs to get past platforms with different behaviour. Collecting items is required to unlock the next level. The game incorporates a lasso mechanic that can be used to grab platforms and swing to a next one. He has a small amount of lives represented as hearts.

The game has parental controls through a password protected virtual egg timer that can be used to limit the playtime. There an easy mode can also be activated to provide unlimited tries and help with harder sections. For instance if Cuke needs to get past a pit and misses a jump the cucumber will bounce out of it and continue instead of losing a life.
