Startling Odyssey is a series of role-playing games by RayForce, originating on the PC Engine (TurboGrafx) CD platform. The games are fairly traditional Japanese-style RPG set in a medieval fantasy world with sci-fi elements. The installments are connected by an overarching storyline: Startling Odyssey II: Maryū Sensō (1994) is the prequel to the first Startling Odyssey (1993).
