Biography edit · view history

Jake worked at Rebellion from 1996 to 1999.

Aliens vs Predator was already being developed when he joined, yet not finished when he left.

During that time, there was a revolution in 3D computer gaming. 3D graphics cards were unheard-of in 1996, but by 1999 fell into the 'we must support' bracket.

As such, the game had to be completely redesigned, to keep apace with the moving technology.

He is proud to have worked on a game as successful as it was; many projects at the time got completely canned, sometimes after more than a year's worth of development, which was demoralizing for the teams working on them.

He gives special credit to Kevin Lea and Al Halsby, whom he describes as "the gruesome duo who really made the game the success it was."
