Damian Scattergood was one of the first game developers in Ireland in the 1980s. The first game he sold was a maze game called Insomnia (1983) for the ZX Spectrum when he was about 16 years old. He founded his first company Scatz Computer Games when he was 17.
At Emerald Software, he programmed the ZX Spectrum games The Deep (1988), Moonwalker (1989) and Vigilante (1989). For Moonwalker he also did the Amstrad CPC version and he worked on The Running Man (1989). At Enigma Variations, he worked on SuperTed: The Search for Spotty (1990).
In recent years he has turned back to game development through Scattergood Studios.
