Biography edit · view history
Pete is an avid gamer and has been since 1981, both in arcade games and on the PC Jr which was one of the first gaming PCs. He has been a C-5 Galaxy Flight Engineer in the USAF and as of 2007, is working at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, in the Command Post. He has served almost 17 years in the Air Force. He plans on retiring and making as high rank as he can.
He also loves R/C planes, many of which can be seen at www.ezonemag.com in the gallery, under his nickname, Hawker.
Pete was one of the first people work with Oleg Maddox of Maddox games in Russia, both with his initial website for IL-2 Sturmovik, and also he attempted to get the game hooked up with Activision for publishing (that never happened). He was also a tester for this game and is credited in the manual.
Pete contributed much to Parsoft's Fighter Squadron: Screamin' Demons Over Europe, as a beta tester and in developing 3D models of planes and vehicles, and he helped create some neat new features that he found in the code. He had a very popular website for this game called Fighter Squadron Extreme which was written up in an issue of PC Gamer, very positively.
Pete also contributed C-5 Galaxy sound designs to Parsoft's A-10 Cuba! (one of his all time favorite PC flight sims due to the wonderful physics). He also did C-5 sound designs for Flight Unlimited II by Looking Glass, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. His most recent sound addition was to a wonderful C-5B model by Peter Hager for the flight sim X-Plane.
He was a 3D graphic artist for JackedIn.com in Palm Desert, California for a year. There he was a lead artist for the online game Terra: Battle for Mars.
Pete was also hired as a 3D artist by Crosswind Simulations to do models for Stormbirds, which ultimately was cancelled for various reasons.
One last note, Pete has 2 kids. His son, Brandon, who is now in sixth grade has many friends who think Brandon's dad is Tony Hawk. :D
