Moving from music to the then emerging computer games industry, Geoff was instrumental in helping Activision establish a foothold as the UK's first third-party publisher for the Atari 2600. In 1985, he left the company to join Melbourne House as managing director.

In subsequent years, Geoff also advised big US companies such as Origin, Maxis and Expert as they entered the European marketplace. In 1988, he established Mindscape International and was instrumental in revamping the Mindscape Group. In 1994, he was a key member of the team that managed the sale of the Mindscape Group to Pearson for £300 million, setting a new benchmark for a games industry trade sale.

In 2007, he currently works for The Climax Group, but he is also an active multimedia business consultant, advising US and UK companies in the software, technology and music sectors.
