Glen A. Schofield

Glen Schofield served as the General Manager and Co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, contributing to over two decades of work in the video game industry. He began his career as an artist and art director at Absolute Entertainment. Before founding Sledgehammer Games, he was General Manager of Electronic Arts' Visceral Games, where he led the development of Dead Space as its creator and Executive Producer. His production credits at EA also include The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, James Bond: From Russia with Love, Dead Space: Extraction, Knockout Kings, and involvement in titles such as Dead Space 2, Godfather I & II, and The Third Age.

Prior to his tenure at EA, Glen was Vice President at Crystal Dynamics (Eidos), directing or overseeing titles including Gex 2, Gex 3, Blood Omen 2, Akuji the Heartless, and Mad Dash Racing, among others.

In 2019 he founded Striking Distance Studios under Krafton, serving as CEO and Game Director, and led the creation of The Callisto Protocol. He has also worked as an advisor at Pinstripe Games since 2023.

In July 2025 he hinted at retiring from game development, after failing to secure funding for a new project co-developed with his daughter, for which a prototype was created and pitches were done for close to eight months.

Throughout his career, Glen has directed or produced more than 30 games across various genres and platforms. His work includes significant roles on multiple Call of Duty titles, such as Modern Warfare 3, Advanced Warfare, and WWII, including the Nazi Zombies mode.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute and an MBA from Golden Gate University, along with honorary doctorates from the Academy of Art University and Golden Gate University.
