Michelle Butler joined Verant Interactive in 1999 as a Game Master and was promoted to EverQuest Customer Service Manager and Guide Liaison in 2000.

She remained the Customer Service Manger until January of 2002 when she moved to the development team of EverQuest Online Adventures and EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers as a game designer for Sony Online Entertainment.

She left Sony Online to join Jeff at Sigil Games Online where she created the Customer Service Department and volunteer program and remained there until the company was sold to Sony Online Entertainment in 2007.

She then returned to EverQuest Online Adventures as the Senior Designer until April 2009 when she moved onto Everquest as the Associate Producer.

In 2012 She moved to the EverQuest II team as a Lead Designer and assisted with the design for Chains of Eternity (2013) and Tears of Veeshan (2014).

She Left Sony Online on 2014 and after a break joined PixelMage Games as the Community Manager and PR for Hero's Song which was released in November of 2016.

In December of 2016 she joined Amazon Games Studios- San Diego as the Program Manager overseeing Studio Operations.

Prior to joining Verant Interactive, she operated two gaming stores/cyber cafés that held weekly CCG tournaments for 6 years.
