Wolf-Dieter Poschmann, aka Poschi, is a German sports commentator and former middle distance runner. After completing his studies at Cologne university Wolf-Deiter joined ZDF in 1986 as a freelancer on the 'Sport' programme. He has continued to work at ZDF, during which time he has been voted TV Journalist of the year many times.

He has reported on many events from the Olympic games to Iron-Man events in Hawaii and has been the chief reporter on 'Sport' since 2006.
