Most recently Erick Wujcik (1951-2008) was a Senior Game Designer/Writer for Totally Games in Novato, California. Previously he was the Game Design Studio Manager for Ubisoft Shanghai, between 2004 and 2006, where he worked with the creative leads on Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Brothers in Arms and other titles.

Before that he worked with Outrage (subsequently eaten by THQ) on Alter Echo, and PyroTechnics (a Sierra studio, subsequently eaten by Vivendi) on Return to Krondor.

He started in game design with (paper) role-playing games, first at Palladium Books, back in the 1980s, where he designed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness, Revised Recon, Ninjas & Superspies, and Mystic Ninja, among lots of other titles, and since the millennium has written the After the Bomb RPG, Wolfen Empire, Rifts China 1: Hells of the Yama Kings, and Rifts China 2: Heroes of the Celestial Court. He published Amber Diceless Role-Playing after forming Phage Press, which had some influence on subsequent developments in RPGs. He was also Adjunct Assistant Professor of Game Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

He was diagnosed with cancer in November 2007 and passed away on 7th June 2008.
