Jimmy White's 2: Cueball (Windows)

Rack 'em, lads

The Good
The graphics for cueball are awesome. they really bring out the snooker/pool room atmosphere and make you think your actually there! The game also gives you practice rounds, advice and a Guidance line, to help you get the right angle on the balls. Its also great to see more than just a snooker and pool table, i especially like the one armed bandit, lovely jubbly.

The Bad
On the "best ratings" slab outside each room, there is no mention off the 9-ball pool games. Other than that, Flaweless!

The Bottom Line
Easy to learn and fun. Well, just don't sit there, BUY IT.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis)

this game will make you as dizzy as hell!!

The Good
Sonic is one of those games that are neither hard nor too easy. the difficulty is just about right for me because it starts off easy and the difficulty progresses at just the right speed, for me at least.

The Bad
The bad dudes are perhaps a little TOO easy to crush, if it be a ground unit or an air unit all you have to do is spin attack them and they're history. Also the levels are pretty much the same. Spin attack a few dozen units and you're done!!! You could also get a little dizzy from all the spinning.

The Bottom Line
a pretty o.k game if you're a fan of sonic.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert (Windows)

Red alert-- well, i better get my hands to battle stations!

The Good
It is actually one of the few games around that are made of factions that exist(or have exsisted in the case of the soviet's). It also allows a fair bit of creativity that is well blended in with historical facts, with is cool.

The Bad
Those damn Russian subs cant fire on land targets and the guns on naval cruisers of the Allies are wonkey!! over than that.......i cant think of any other flaws.

The Bottom Line
A decent C&C game, well worth the money and a lovely addition to the C&C family.

Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force (Windows)

Lock, stock and two smocking phaser rifles

The Good
The weapons are damn right awesome! Although some have limited capacity, they punch enough firepower for my definite liking! And they have the borg, yipppeeeeeee, on the first round no less, thank god. The holomatch's are also incredibly realistic and are chalanging, but not overly so.

The Bad
Fairly short. Could be a little bit longer. Other than that, lovely jubbly.

The Bottom Line
Hours apon hours of battle fun, a must have for any treky who's into shot 'em ups

Nox (Windows)

Nox - the game that I love

The Good
I love the weaponry! Especially the fireball staff of recharge, that lets out one hell of a fireball. It has a very good story line and great classes makes a very good game indeed. The graphics are splendid and enhances the game greatly, it also makes the game more enjoyable in general.

The Bad
Perhaps a little TOO easy, I completed it within weeks!! Also the AI could generate other people like in multi-play skirmishes in C&C Tiberian Sun.

The Bottom Line
Fast paced and FUN. If you like fast paced action games, this is a must have for you.
