Separation Anxiety is a 2D side-scrolling platform-action beat 'em up game featuring several prominent characters from the Marvel Universe and gripping storylines taken from the popular Spider-Man comics. The game is based loosely on a mini-series of comics about the Venom saga. In this game, 1-2 players can select and take control of Spider-Man and/or his on-and-off again arch-nemesis Venom. As Spider-Man and/or Venom, you must set off and stop the life foundation that has spawned out 5 symbiote offsprings from Venom and plans to bond them together with its soldiers in order to assemble and form a vast deadly army. As Venom recovers from his wounds, he thus realizes and decides that he must set out and fight them off either alone or with the aid of his old arch-nemesis Spider-Man.

The game allows you to punch, kick and swing your way as well as execute combos throughout the streets, the woods and even through the underground complexes towards accomplishing your main goal. Along the way, the player(s) can also find and pick up some helpful superhero ally icons that allow you to summon a few of Spidey's greatest allies to your aid including Captain America, Hawk-Eye, Ghost Rider and Dare Devil.

WWE Day of Reckoning is a wrestling game that uses the World Wrestling Entertainment license. The game incorporates gameplay elements from WWE WrestleMania XIX and builds upon them, while introducing new features.

The game offers new character models and graphics for the WWE superstars, including custom face-shaping. Traditional wrestling moves as well as trademark moves and finishers of WWE superstars are simulated. Over 40 WWE superstars are selectable. Among the new features are the ability to reverse any moves and a momentum meter. The momentum meter can let the wrestler gain a last second comeback. It will also let smaller characters build up their momentum to execute lift moves on bigger characters.

The game feature a story mode where the player starts off taking a character through minor shows like Heat and Velocity. The goal is to make it to the big shows, such as RAW and Smackdown, and become a champion. Another new mode is the Bra and Panties match.

Create-a-Wrestler mode comes with a variety of customization available to the player. The player can now create entrances with fireworks and pyrotechnics. WWF legends such as Andre the Giant and Bret Hart are also playable in the game.

The player is allowed to sidetrack and interact with the urban environment. The gameplay includes races and chases in which you dodge obstacles such as buildings and bridges. You will have to outrun foes such as sharks, while smashing boxes and such for power-ups and items. There are also dance elements to the game, where you dance to hip hop moves. You have to mix and match moves to the vibe.

The sound features humorous and hip voice acting similar to the film. Music is made up of a combination of original and licensed R&B/Hip hop music from classic & current artists.

The story of the game involves Asterix and Obelix returning to their village in Gaul, after a day of hunting. They come to find that all their fellow village people have been captured. Along with their capture is also the theft of their magic potion, a potion that gives them superhuman strength. Caesar has captured the Gauls and spread them out to the furthest corners of the Roman Empire. Asterix and Obelix must find and free their friends and get the potion before it reaches Caesar.

The gameplay consists of the ability to switch between Asterix and Obelix at different times, using each one's skills to your advantage. Through the adventure, you will unlock and gain powerful combos and attack moves to help you. This large adventure takes you through six different countries made up of 47 areas, totaling 40 plus levels. The gameplay is varied from battling hundreds of Romans at once to riding/racing sequences and puzzle-solving. The graphics have vibrant colors, picturesque backgrounds, exciting special effects, and humorous animations. The sound includes zany effects, a range of music from roman to Egyptian, and good-humored voice acting.

EA sports long running hockey franchise continues for the 2005 season. This year tweaks features from last year and adds some new enhancements to the game engine.

The graphics have been even more improved from last year. Now the 'cyber players' look so close to their real life counterparts that their hard to distinguish. Player models are updated with more life like skin, hair and features. This includes more facial animations and emotions. The coaches are also redone in this manner. The in-game meanwhile adds a whole slew of new animations, cutscenes, goalie animations and enhancements to the fighting engine.

In the control department, NHL 2005 adds a new feature called Open-Ice control. This feature lets you potentially control players without the puck, set up for picks, double team and more. Shooting wrist shots and slap shots are also now mapped to separate buttons for more flexibility.

The gameplay introduces a new feature as personalities for players. Such that a player like Tie Domi will play more like an enforcer, while Markus Naslund will rely more on finesse and skill. You will be relied on to balance this personalities on each line of a team to create chemistry. The dynasty mode has been redone with a new interface and tweaks. Free Agency and Trading has been tweaked along with the handling of a team. The new system allows you to keep up to date on weekly injuries/streaks reports, letters from your owner, players, etc.

This year adds new modes such as the World Cup tournament and Free-for-All. In Free-For-All players compete 2 on 2 trying to score on the other while also defending. Along with the modes come minor tweaks, such as the options for no touch icing, delayed offsides and shootout options for tied games. The create a team feature remains in this year but create a player didn't make it in. Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson return with commentary.

Spider-Man 2 is an almost completely different game for PC than its console counterpart. This is not a console port as expected, but a different 'kiddie' version brought to you by 'The Fizz Factor' and Activision.

As Spider-Man you must battle out through 8 chapters of mischief and mayhem to succeed. Along the way you will encounter and have to battle old foes like Rhino, Mysterio, Puma, Doc Ock and more. The game interface consists of a simple point and click system coupled with keyboard movement. Unlike it's console counterpart there is no free swinging movement but one designed with kids in mind.

Fighting consists of basic punching, kicking, jumpkicks and a power meter that lets you do a supercharged attack. 'Spidey' can also zip to walls and objects and use his web to do basic attacks on enemies.

NBA Give 'N Go is different from usual basketball games of the era because it is played at court level with the player with the ball. Most basketball games previously had a side scrolling or isometric view. Building upon this technique, the game features large player sprites and graphics. The game features the NBA roster from 1995 complete with player ratings. Gameplay consists of true 5 on 5 basketball but in a more arcade like style with alley-oops and high flying dunks. The audio includes action oriented commentary, in the style of NBA Jam.

S.W.A.T Kats is a game based on the short lived cartoon series S.W.A.T Kats: Radical Squadron. The series would only last for 2 seasons but built a sort of cult following afterwards.

The Swat Kats are a duo of mechanics by day, but secretly also a group of superheroes defending their home, MegaKat city, from creatures and evil villians. Swat Kats is essentially a side-scrolling action game. You start off using T-Bone and Razor and guide them through 5 different worlds of action packed excitement. Game levels are based on different episodes of the show. As you progress through the game you can increase your weapon levels and gain new weapons. Mode 7 graphics are featured in some parts of the game. A unique feature to the game is the ability to start on different levels.

Lords of EverQuest is a real-time strategy game with role-playing elements. The game is set in the EverQuest universe and takes place ten thousand years before the events of the original EverQuest. Players can choose to control any of the three alliances, each composed of different races: Shadowrealm (dark elves, ogres, and the iksar); Dawn Brotherhood (humans, barbarians, and dwarves); and the Eldaar Alliance (high elves, wood elves, halflings and froglocks). The single-player mode offers three campaigns, one per alliance. Each alliance has its own motivations for war, and the three stories are intertwined.

Each alliance has five "lords" (equivalent to "heroes" in other strategy games), making a total of fifteen lords with different abilities. The player chooses one of these lords to help his units in battles. The lords greatly enhance the performance of friendly units and can also sabotage the enemy. The units consist of race-specific soldiers and can be selected before each mission; a certain number of them can be transferred to the next one. Both lords and units level up, learn new abilities and become stronger, in a RPG-like fashion.

Resource management plays a lesser role in the game than in most other games of its type. Only one type of resource (platinum) is available for mining.

Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance is an action game that takes place in the times of the Roman empire. You take control of Invictus Thrax, a Roman slave, who ascended through the ranks to become champion of all gladiators. Favored by the emperor, Invictus was to be granted his freedom. Mysteriously though, the emperor was killed and replaced by a crazy man named Arruntius. Arruntius, so full of himself, has decided to destroy Rome and replace it with a city named Arruntium. As the game begins, an epic event is staged with Invictus as the gladiator. Invictus fights bravely, but he is killed by an unknown and possibly un-human creature. In the afterlife, Invictus meets the sons of Jupiter. They inform him of how Arruntius' power came from help of the gods of terror. They charge him with the task of eliminating Arruntius and restoring Rome to glory.

Gladiator is essentially an 3d action/combat game which features hand to hand combat with weapons, combos and magic. The action also includes maneuvering around, from gliding down ropes to jumping traps. Challenges are scattered around the game world, which when defeated, unlock magical powers granted by the gods, such as Pluto's power, which raises spirits from the dead to help you in battle. A unique feature of the game is the execution maneuver. Upon the near death of certain enemies, you can execute this maneuver which will result in a cinematic random brutal execution by Thrax.

The game's graphics try to recreate the atmosphere of gladiator films such as Spartacus. A wide range of characters are featured from opposing gladiators to mythical enemies like cyclopes, demons. and skeleton warriors. Audio features include a blend of soft and hectic tunes, and voice over acting.

You also have to find the 12 dream keys to unlock the boss level. A unique aspect of the game allows the players to temporarily morph into different costumes with special abilities.
