Overview edit · view history

Gaming Corps Austin was a game development studio based in Austin, Texas (USA). It was originally established as Red Fly Studio and became publicly active around December 2006 when the company's first activities were announced on the website. Red Fly brought together several developers who had been working together at 7th Level, Inc. eight years before: Dan Borth (CEO/Creative Director), Kris Taylor (Art Director) and Jeff Mills (Director of Production), Peter Marquardt (Director of Operations), Chad Barron (External Producer) and Bill Daly (Lead Artist).

The company's first games were released in 2008: Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars (Wii) and Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi (DS).

In November 2016, Red Fly Studio was acquired by Swedish company Gaming Corps AB. Subsequently, the studio was rebranded Gaming Corps Austin. When at the parent company the board and management team took over in November 2018, the Austin studio was closed around 2019.
