External Storage
Game data can be saved on external storage, not the actual system the game is played on. External storage may be USB stick or a memory card used to save game data. It can also be same type of media that game comes on, but not the actual media the game comes on, like a blank floppy disk. While external USB or otherwise connected hard disk drive isn't really used to store save games, if the game can recognize connected drive and use it to save and later load games, it too would qualify as external storage.
