John Pickford and Ste Pickford left Binary Design Ltd. with two programmers to found Zippo Games in 1987. The company was later asked by Rare, Ltd. to develop NES games for them and eventually folded into the company becoming Rare Manchester. In 1990 and John and Ste left the company and moved on to Software Creations Ltd..
