Biography edit · view history

William "Billy" Schmitt grew up in Camarillo California as an avid role player and video game junkie. By 1989, Billy was serving as game designer for Mutant Warriors with Dan Chang and Mark Lowe. Soon following, Billy gained a position with famed Novalogic where he contributed to the expansion pack for their Comanche series.

By 1991, Billy moved to the Bay Area where he started with Electronic Arts as a design intern working on Shadow Caster. He later joined EA's "Gold Or Die" GOD group. Billy spent over 5 years moving up the Producer/Design career path at EA, working on notable titles like Andretti Racing and Knock Out Kings to name a few.

Billy left EA in 1998 to help a start up company Digital Eclipse where his contributions forged their place in the market to household name.

In 1999 Billy and a few associates formed 3d6 Games where they created 8 GameBoy and GameBoy Advanced titles. Billy moved back to the Los Angeles area in late 2002 to help Genuine Games, a new startup in Woodland Hills. After creating a few titles with Genuine, Billy moved on to Activision to work on Spider-Man 3.

After the release of Spider-Man 3, Billy was given the opportunity to join THQ and lead production on the UFC Undisputed franchise.
