We are happy to announce a new MobyGames logo and mascot!

This also included design updates to the header and footer, as well as some new functionality for approvers.

Further discussion and details on the latest site update can be found here.

I think it's a great logo, some old mixed with some new and some fun added on top. Nice work Reed.

I like it; it is so much better than the pathetic one GameFly cooked up.

The new logo is cool, but I'd love to have it in green/blue as the old one. Maybe changing only the "Moby" to green would be enough.

Well, in my country we have a saying which translates to: "green and blue adorns the sow". Which means those two colors look horrible when combined more often than not. Admittedly the old logo didn't look too bad, still I like the new one better.

I'm especially pleased that our new mascot isn't swimming in a sea of grey (i.e. the gap around the content is gone, hooray!).

Oh my, I hadn't realized it! The top and bottom bars now take all the window's width. Nice!

All around the site now has a new look that I really can get used to. The width isn't too narrow, the top navigation bar looks pretty and makes sense, tables and lists remain compact as they should be, and the logo is cute and fits!

Good job on the modernisation without blindly copying pointless counterproductive Web 2.0 fads! It's something that a lot of the Top-500 global websites continually fail at.

The thing that remains most glaringly 90s now (in a negative way – a lot of 90s web paradigms are actually very good) in my opinion is the search engine. I must admit that I occasionally expect a list of suggestions / instant results to pop up, now that the search box looks so fancy. Probably lower priority than fixing the actual search algorithm issues though.

I like the new logo very much, but as already said by another member I'd like to have the old green color in it.
