The latest Iron Maiden CD.

I read bad reviews about it. It seems that the last good Maiden CD was Brave New World... is it right?

Didn't get a chance to sit down and listen to it yet. Let you know when I do.

It's kinda like Dance of Death all over again... easy on the ears, in a wussy kind of way.

Well, I don't like much Dance of Death, so maybe I won't be in love with this new one too. But I guess I must listen before judging...

Same here. I'll probably buy myself a couple of old games tomorrow and act surprised (if any of those run).

I got lots of gift cards, with which I purchased a 360 HD-DVD player. About to set it up... giddy

I got a Hickory Farms gift package with cheese, summer sausage, and mustard. I don't celebrate any holidays really, but my mother dropped by just to give me that anyway. Oh yea, she also got me a 2 month gift subscription for Netflix.

We had a mostly Nintendo Xmas at ours.

Santa brought me Illusion of time (SNES), Tony Hawks 2 (N64), Rogue Squadron (N64) and a N64 Expansion Pak.

The missus got an original Gameboy with Kirby's dream land and Tiny Toons 2 and my daughter ended up with Princess Peach for the DS and the GBA vesion of Magical Quest.

Not all Ninty though as a copy of Canis Canem Edit (aka Bully,PS2) also came my way and Coolboarders 4 (PS) and a lovely copy of Wonderboy III: Dragon's Trap for my Master System.

Sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Wonderboy was probably not the sweetest from my list but still great as I've not played it for about 15 years. It amazed me that I was still familiar with the layout after all that time.

Last year, at a company "white elephant" gift exchange, one of the presents exchanged was an old copy of Roadwar Europa (DOS). I promptly asked to borrow it, which is why MobyGames has cover art for that particular platform port.

Santa brought me a Nintendo Wii (and the credit card bill to go with it... the punk!).

So far, I am really impressed with this console. It has a very "Apple like" design and I think that's the angle Nintendo is trying to garnish. Overall, what I have played so far (Wii Sports, Zelda, Excite Truck) have proven to be very unique. I enjoy the new style of play and the mass market appeal of this machine has me interested even more in the system.

The Virtual Console portion of the system (Pretty much iTunes for older games) roped me as well. I love revisting Super Castlevania IV and Bonk's Adventure. Sure you could get away with emulation on a PC, but the feeling is different to me somehow. (Perhaps laying back and playing on the big screen compared to my 12.1" laptop LCD is a factor :p )

Anyways, while I am late to the party once again, happy holidays to you all and hope you all had a safe new year (with no major hangovers).

A large leather bound agenda and a bunch of computer games (that I picked out myself), some of them not even on file. I'd add them, but I'm too lazy to write descriptions for them.
