Great 8-bit RPG

The Good
Willow is a fun role playing adventure game offers the basic outline of the film, while expanding it to fit the demands of a proper RPG (Role Playing Game). Game play combines the overhead adventure elements seen in Legend of Zelda with some first person perspective text sequences. Overall it's is a long and enjoyable RPG quest featuring superior 8-bit graphics, music and sound effects.

The Bad
Willow (1989) is a long and challenging role playing game, which means it probably will not be as popular with novice or younger gamers.

The Bottom Line
Willow is a great role playing game for the 8-bit Nintendo as well as one of the rare games based on a film that is actually fun to play and worth owning. If you are up for a long RPG, with plenty of fantasy based creatures and challenges along the way, give this one a try.
