Alien Breed 3D 2: The Killing Grounds
Description official description
Alien Breed 3D 2: The Killing Grounds is a first-person 3D shooter with full-screen graphics. The story is directly connected to the ending of the predecessor: after a hard day's work, the protagonist gets rescued by a space cruiser. But unfortunately shortly after an alien ship crosses their path and kidnaps the crew - now the player has 16 new levels to progress through in one-player mode. The action offers the usual DOOM-inspired gameplay: shooting everything in sight by using the ten weapons with limited ammo and searching for key cards. The enemies are working together and trying to adjust their approach depending on which of the many weapons the player is armed with.
There is no music within the levels, just ambient sounds. A level editor is provided, which is especially useful for the two-player game.

Trivia
Amiga Power Review
Officially this game scored Amiga Power magazine's highest ever review score - 98%. Team 17's Marcus Dyson (himself a former Amiga journalist) phoned AP to say thanks immediately after seeing it. If he'd've read the review closely, he'd've realised that the text of the review was highly critical, with a score of 60% hidden within the text, and the text in the summary box was clearly sarcastic. The review is online at http://www.classicgaming.com/amigareviews/alien3d2.htm#alienbreed3d2ap (below the German-language review from Amiga Joker).
This was in AP's final issue, at a time when the magazine had been feuding with Team 17 for a long time, and I guess this (along with their Kick Off 96 review (a spoof piece in which the reviewer was charged with murdering the Amiga) in the same issue) saw them go out in a blaze of 'glory'.
