Description

Monster Eye is a two-player light gun game. It incorporates what is described as a 5D dynamic theater experience with shaking seats and air blows synchronized to the on-screen action, as well as a body motion capture feature. The game is very similar to SEGA's Let's Go series with a similar cabinet setup, gameplay and story.

Players take the role of Betty and Jack, two tourists who are on an all expense paid vacation. There they encounter huge monsters that suddenly start attacking. A shifty tour guide named Bruce hands them a suite case which contains two energy guns to fight the monsters. There are five stages: Ocean Park, Chinatown, Forest Train, Central Station and finally Adam City.

Players need to shoot the monsters or shoot the weak spots which are mysterious blue crystals. Enemies include giant crabs, flying fish, angler fish, scorpions, bats, bees, rats, giant rhino beetle and lucanidae, and finally a Godzilla-like monster.

There are motion events, which are quick time events where players must physically act out motions with their body. The body capture events include swimming to safety, punching monsters or dodging obstacles in a motorcycle chase through back alleys.
