Mahjong Gokū Special

Moby ID: 199589

Description

Mahjong Gokū Special is the first mahjong game for the TurboGrafx using characters from Xi You Ji (aka "Journey to the West"), a classic Chinese novel. It was followed by Mahjong Gokū Tenjiku, four years later, by the same developer.

The player can choose to play one of the four characters from Xi You Ji: the famous Sun Wukong (a Monkey King called Sun Gokū in Japan, hence the title of the game), the pig Bajie, and two other "animals" (a dragon and a bird). It is a classic mahjong game with RPG elements, so Sun Gokū must make his way across a map, facing enemies at every stop. The only way to progress in the adventure is to defeat the enemies by winning at the mahjong table.
