Description official description

The 108 Stars of Destiny are back! In this game the player takes on the role of the young hero from Citro Village. Together with his friends Marica, Liu, Jale, and many more, the hero will explore the world looking for the True Chronicles, and stop the evil forces of The Order of the One True Way, lead by the One King.

Suikoden Tierkreis is a classical turn-based Japanese-style role-playing game. Like other games in Suikoden series, It features extensive character-recruiting, and mini-quests that require using specific characters to complete. The world is completely 3D, and the game focuses on story elements. Movement is done with the directional pad or stylus. Like most Japanese-style RPGs, the game has the player interacting with NPCs and fighting random encounters.

Items and characters can be exchanged with other players through Wi-Fi.

Not the game I expected

The Good
Battle mechanics are all in all addicting to get the best weapons to your favourite characters. The music in this game is well made since it is Nintendo DS sound system. One example is the boss music that was always so satisfying to listen to before fighting.

The Bad
Too easy leveling up characters. In a high-level dungeon, you could easily power level your team to level 50. Gathering all the stars was frustrating since many characters could only be recruited under specific sequences in the game. If you want to collect all then grab a walkthrough and focus on only recruitment. The landscape is way too big for its purposes and you feel like you do endless walking. To obtain something or finish missions was way too time-consuming. The graphics in this game does not give the same feeling as Suikoden 1 and 2.

The Bottom Line
A Suikoden game I would not recommend playing. I recommend og to hardcore Suikoden fans who want to 'play them all'. In total, I was disappointed in all aspects of the game.. Go grab Suikoden: Woven Web of the Centuries instead.
