Mah-Jongg
- Mah-Jongg (1981 on Terminal)
Description
Mah-Jongg is a browser implementation of the tile matching Shanghai/Mah Jongg theme. A board with 144 stones, separated in groups of four identical pictures, has to be cleared by removing two tiles with the identical picture. Tiles are only removable if they are "free", which means they do not have another tile on the left, right or above them.
The game features two tile sets and six different layouts for the board. The amount of possible moves and hints with pairs of possible removals can be shown. There is no time limit.

Trivia
Original release in "5k"
The game was release as competitor in the 5k competition in 2002. In this competition a website had to be build, but all files for representing the webpage must be under 5 kilobytes (including HTML, image files, JavaScript etc). 5 kilobytes was tiny for a webpage at that time too (with saving an empty office document is far bigger in size). The original version of Mah-Jongg fitted in this 5k barrier, but later versions were extended.
