Nintendo's Global President Satoru Iwata passed away during this game's development from a bile duct tumor. In addition to being posthumously credited as executive producer with his successor Tatsumi Kimishima, a tribute to Iwata was programmed into the end credits, dedicating Star Fox Zero to "our wingman who fell in battle".
Delay
The game's release was delayed from November 20th 2015 to April 22nd 2016.
